Little Shop of Horrors

Hold your hat and hang onto your soul!
Somethin's comin' to eat the world whole!
If we fight it, we still got a chance.
But whatever they offer you-
Tho' they're sloppin' the trough for you-
Please, whatever they offer you,
Don't feed the plants...
Good food, good friends and a good show! What more could one ask for?
Our excursion to see Little Shop of Horrors on Saturday evening was great! The whole production was sooo very well done (dare I say that it was better than our last outing to Rocky Horror?). From the “interactive skid row bums” outside (and inside) the theater (I’ll give you a buck if…) to the CRAZY dentist (did anyone else think that he was pretty damn freaky and played the role even better than Steve Martin did in the movie?) and the wonderful people eating plant (whose puppeteer me briefly chatted with after the show).
The cast was very talented, the singing and music incredible and, because the theater was small (and some of the play was done in the audience/off stage), the audience was really drawn into the play.
DAMN! I had a good time and I’m looking forward with eager anticipation to “Return to Forbidden Planet” in June!
I definitely think that Little Shop of Horrors at the Maverick Theater is worth five Wyveries!
