A Boy and his Dog (1975)– “A rather Kinky Tale of Survival” – Based on a short story by Harlan Ellison - One of my favorite Sci-Fi movies.  Ben Johnson plays a “Solo” who lives in the ruins of Phoenix after WW IV.  His side kick is a dog named Blood who can communicate with him telepathically. Add a creepy (at least to me) underground, Christian based, Irvine like, totalitarian, conformist society where the men are all sterile and the women not, and see what happens! No, it’s not anything like Star Wars or Star Trek or any of the glitzy, high budget, eye candy films that we see today, but remember that it was made back in pre-CGI days.  Besides, it has one of the best endings ever!  I’ll give it four wyveries!
